Remember, I sue people professionally. Besides Astronomy, it's what I live for.
An obstructed horizon coupled with the summertime leaves only a few good objects in position to image from the Bad Wolf Observatory. The arrival of the ST-8E at this point lent itself to the inevitable questions: is the KAF-1602E chip in the ST-8E better than the KAF-1600 chip in the ST-8 (and its predecessor, the Genesis 16 camera)? If so, how much better? Judge for yourself whether the difference is the camera, the processing, or something else. Blue borders denote ST-8E images and red borders denote ST-8 images.
July, 2010: Since the ST-8E gave way to the new ST-8XME, it is unlikely that this page will see any further updates unless I get so painfully bored that I reprocess images obtained with these wonderfully obsolete cameras. I hope that the imagers who purchased these nice cameras from me are putting them to good use.
Optics: Celestron C-11 Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope @ f/10 (except where otherwise indicated).
